Entrance to the marina is approached by following a course of 180 degrees for 2 3/4 miles from the western end of Little Stirrup Cay to a double piled marker. The 5 mile channel is well-marked to the entrance of the cut. Through the cut one enters the outer harbour where the fuel dock is located; then follow the markers to the inside of the marina. Channel depth is around 9 feet at mean low tide. In Great Harbour, boats are available through Elorn at Happy People, at the marina. If you decide to venture out on the high seas (actually, the south-side of the island is relatively calm and excellent for bone fishing) make sure to bring along either an onboard GPS with navigation charts or the most recent paper version. Your ENTIRE vacation can be ruined in an instant by hitting the many submerged rock formations. Once your boating, you'll need to decide - Marlin or Bone Fish today. Actually, deep dropping for Mystic Grouper is most appetizing to some (not mentioned here). You'll surely come back with a dinner portion of Snapper if you decide to bottom fish. Make sure to visit the enigmatic Blue Hole (not found anywhere near the continental US) and visit Flo's and the Ambergris Cays.
